Born and raised in San Francisco, Dennis Woo is a classically trained grade eight pianist, singer-songwriter, and multilingual host. Since the age of four, he has performed for various festivals, concerts, charitable initiatives, and cultural celebrations in the United States. One of his notable accomplishments includes being invited by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to sing the national anthem for thousands of newly naturalized American citizens representing over a hundred nations. In 2008, Gavin Newsom, Governor of California, named February 22nd “Dennis Woo Day,” acknowledging the then eleven-year-old for his leadership and dedication to community service and civic engagement.

In addition to his native languages, Teochew and Hokkien, Dennis learned Mandarin and Cantonese before learning English. Passionate about cultural exchange, diversity in society and entertainment, and the intersection of technology and humanity, Dennis graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Southern California in 2019 with a degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics. During his studies, Dennis interned at Tesla, Salesforce, IBM, VMware, and Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation), prior to joining Cisco full-time as its IoT unit’s youngest product manager.
