John is currently an Engineering Manager at Riot Games, a video game publisher that has created League of Legends. Prior to Riot, he was an Engineering Manager at Tally, a fintech startup that is tackling the $1 trillion credit card debt market. Prior to Tally, he was the 8th engineer at Caffeine, a real-time live broadcasting platform that raised a $146M Series C led by 21st Century Fox. Prior to Caffeine, he was a software engineer at Amazon Lab126 working on firmware development on numerous Kindles. Before his stint at various firms, John has started several companies such as Sole Good (a product designed to prevent running injury), GameWYZ (a coaching service with pro video game players), and EZMode Gaming, his own mobile app development business. When he's not pushing the boundaries on product development, John loves to travel the world, eat sushi with his partner, advocate for mental wellness, and pursue ultra-distance sports as a form of meditation. He has completed 3 Ironman Triathlons, 2 24-hour Tough Mudders, and seeks the next crazy endeavor to conquer. In fact, in 2017, John raised over $2500 for the Hope For Depression Foundation while running 68-miles at the World's Toughest Mudder. In his free time, John mentors students from his alma mater and has devoted the past year to helping his network that was impacted by COVID find new work.
