Facebook’s parent company, Meta has appointed Tony Xu, Doordash’s CEO to its board of directors. Xu’s appointment on Tuesday, January 11th is the first change to the board since the company’s rebrand to Meta in October 2021.
Xu brings his experience running one of Silicon Valley’s hottest companies. The 37-year-old CEO worked as a dish washer in his mother’s Chinese restaurant after emigrating to the U.S as a child and later co-foundered DoorDash as a student at Stanford in 2013.
