Grammy-award singer Olivia Rodrigo is collaborating with the beauty startup Glossier’s new campaign called “You Look Good,” the start of a long-term partnership that will include a curated set of Olivia’s favorite Glossier products so fans can recreate her signature look.
The New York-based company wants its first-ever celebrity collaboration with a person who could partner with Glossier in an authentic way to communicate to a wide audience.
The 19-year-old singer with almost 25 million Instagram followers has become a Gen Z icon, with the White House engaging her to promote Covid-19 immunizations among young people.
Some of Olivia’s Glossier favorites include an undetectable, flexible coverage (Stretch Concealer), a seamless cheek color (Cloud Paint), and a luminous bronzer crème (Solar Paint).
Founded in 2014, Glossier is valued at more than $1 billion by its venture backers. It closed its physical locations in 2020, but last year opened a handful in the United States and London.
Glossier’s collaboration with Ms. Rodrigo comes after the beauty firm lay off a large number of its corporate staff a few months ago. Glossier announced in January that it would pivot on its skin-care and makeup business and scale back some of its technology initiatives.
