Eater’s Executive Editor Stephanie Wu Is Now The Food Website’s New Editor-in-chief

Stephanie Wu is thrilled to step into her new role as Eater’s second-ever editor-in-chief. She  will lead the editorial organization and work closely with Amanda Kludt, the publication’s founding editor-in-chief, to expand on the publication’s journalistic excellence while also supporting the Eater brand’s business and growth.

Kludt describes the new editor-in-chief as a visionary editor, a strong communicator, a problem solver, and an empathetic leader, who joined Eater as executive editor in January.

Wu worked as a digital director at Condé Nast Traveler before joining Eater. She has also worked as an editor at ‘Town & Country,’ ‘Travel + Leisure,’ and ‘Mic,’ where she oversaw lifestyle issues such as food, travel, and culture.

As the new editor-in-chief, she will manage a team of over 75 people in 25 cities across North America and the United Kingdom, including writers, editors, video creators, and audience team members. She will be in charge of all reporting, narrative, and service journalism for the publication, as well as audience growth and engagement and brand extension.

Eater is a food website owned by Vox Media that began as a local New York City restaurant blog in 2005 and has grown to become one of America’s most popular and influential food publications and dining guides.
