Filipino-American actor Santos, best known for playing sales associate Mateo Liwanag in the NBC series ‘Superstore’ and Oliver T’sien in ‘Crazy Rich Asians,’ is the latest name to be in Marvel’s recently wrapped ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3′.
The release date of the newest Marvel picture, which is planned for May 5, 2023, will mark the conclusion of director James Gunn’s run of Guardians of the Galaxy films.
Vol 3 stars recurring characters Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star Lord, and his gang of intergalactic criminals including Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Elizabeth Debicki, Karen Gillan, Chuk Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Sylvester Stallone. Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, and ‘The Suicide Squad’ breakout Daniela Melchior are also joining the cast.
Santos has received two nominations for the Critics’ Choice Awards for his role in ‘Superstore’ and his more recent credits include the animated feature ‘Wish Dragon,’ and HBO Max animated series ‘The Prince’.
