Shaping The Young Generation And Strengthening Family Bond Through Immersive Kits

Some families won’t talk things out, especially with their children, nor freely discuss emotions like with some families shown on TV. Some youngsters are so scared of expressing themselves that they hold their pain quietly, and some of them carry that burden into adulthood.

Korean-American Hawaiian-born Sena Lee and Chinese-Indonesian-American Sarah Hartono realized that parents (especially immigrants) carry a huge burden.

“They do their utmost BEST for their kids, they fail, try again, and then as they grow older, they sometimes feel they haven’t done “enough”, said Sena “But tbh that’s LIFE. We can’t avoid hardship and just like It’s inevitable, so is JOY. When we fail, when there’s hardship… we build character and resilience.”

Sena and Sarah believe parents or schools should not be solely responsible for raising kids or “forming people” but rather the entire caring community. With their life experience and deep contemplation during Covid lockdown, the Kickstarter project MILLU was created.

MILLU introduces immersive monthly subscription kits that give fruitful opportunities for parents to exchange intergenerational wisdom and give their children a head start in life by simply talking and playing together.

The kits are designed from the concepts of play therapy. Lee said that they wanted to reach children at an early age – when they can build a solid foundation for the realities of the world. Not through STEM topics, but vital LIFE topics.

Support this family empowering project by joining their Uniqueverse Kit Waitlist. By end of 2022, they plan to launch their e-commerce site where the Uniqueverse Kit & Collection can be purchased directly.

Everyone can help shape the next generation by co-creating kit themes with MILLU, you can reach them at hello@millubox.com.
