Tokyo’s Influential Menswear Bryceland’s Opens Its First London Store

The new shop in London represents a little shift for the company, as their Asian stores are decorated mostly with dark wood and heavy furniture, while the Marylebone shop will be brighter with white floorboards and a more mid-century feel.

Bryceland’s co-founder Ethan Newton claims that UK and EU online sales have accounted for around 20% of its overall business.

Founded by Kenji Cheung and Ethan Newton in 2015, one could say that Bryceland’s is the “favorite men’s store of your favorite men’s store.” It is an expression of the classic men’s wardrobe, combining a foundation of custom tailoring and men’s haberdashery, with a desire to instill elegance and masculinity in every part of apparel, from the workplace to evening wear.

Styles and eras come and go when it comes to clothing, but Bryceland’s stands in one viewpoint and philosophy – to create beautiful and timeless clothing that is essentially clothing, not fashion.

With its new worldwide standing, Bryceland intends to collaborate with British designers who can do trunk exhibitions at its locations in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Newton also teases the possibility of a trip across the Atlantic, with a hint of a visit to New York later in the year.
