Boiling Dragon Adds Spice to Pearland International Cuisine Trail

In promoting Texas’ Pearland as an essential culinary destination, Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau (PCVB) launched a digital foodie passport, ‘Pearland International Cuisine Trail’ early this March – and the registration is free!

The project uplifts 7 of the local restaurant businesses that serve international cuisine, giving visitors a taste of the diverse cultures.

One of the local restaurant owners, chef Harold Wong of Boiling Dragon, believes that this project will definitely encourage locals and visitors to explore different eats, and is great support for the city’s growing food scene amidst the pandemic.

Boiling Dragon in West Broadway Boulevard is an Asian-influenced seafood restaurant that serves Asian Cajun-inspired dishes from garlic butter and Thai basil crawfish to bulgogi fries and Korean street tacos.

The Asian fusion restaurant wasn’t able to escape the challenge of the pandemic, especially when it launched at the beginning of COVID in 2020.

Despite the obstacles, Wong persevered and continued to grow his business, the restaurant now is particularly busy during the crawfish season.

Wong also supports his fellow restaurateurs and is currently working to launch Pearland Restaurant Week in September, a fundraiser similar to Houston Restaurant Week which acquired over $18 million in the past 18 years benefitting America’s largest food bank.
