Naomi Watanabe is Slayin’ in the Latest Fashion Campaign for Beyonce’s Ivy Park

“Japanese Beyonce” is what they call the Japanese comedienne, Naomi Watanabe, due to her iconic impersonation of the American superstar back in the days.

Today, Watanabe is more known as a model and fashion icon. She’s worked with major worldwide fashion and cosmetics brands including Kate Spade and SK-II, in addition to her own plus-size fashion business, PUNYUS.

Watanabe seems to keep going from strength to strength when Beyoncé collaborated with her in a new modeling campaign for Ivy Park, the sporty leisure clothing line owned by none other than Queen B herself.

Many Japanese fans were pleased that Watanabe finally got to ‘work with her hero’.

‘Self-love’ is the main concept of the collection, with red as the color to “bring people together from all walks of life.” While red is associated with love and sensuality in Western cultures, it is associated with good fortune and happiness in Eastern traditions.

Naomi appears in a video ad alongside Beyoncé, as well as international celebrities Shu Pei Qin of China, Troye Sivan of Australia, and Tyson Beckford of the United States, to name a few.

The collection went on sale on February 10, so fashion fans should hurry to get their hands on their favorite pieces before they run out.
