The horror drama ‘Umma,’ directed by Sam Raimi and starring Sandra Oh of Grey’s Anatomy, will be released on March 18, 2022.
‘Umma’ means ‘mother’ in Korean. Sandra Oh plays Amanda, a woman living a peaceful life with her daughter (Fivel Stuart) on an American farm, but when the remains of her estranged mother arrive from Korea, Amanda is haunted by the fear of becoming her own mother.
MeeWha Alana Lee, Tom Yi, Odeya Rush, and Dermot Mulroney round out the cast.
Iris K. Shim wrote and directed the movie. Producers are Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi. Peter Luo, Cheng Yang, Yedong Mu, Tao Zhou, Andre Ovredal, Matt Black, Marcei Brown, Jeanette Volturno, and Sandra Oh serving as executive producers.
