The Genera+ion Actress Lukita Maxwell Joins New Apple TV+ Comedy Series ‘Shrinking’

Indonesian-American actress Lukita Maxwell (Genera+ion) is joining the main cast of Apple TV+’s new comedy series “Shrinking” alongside Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) and Luke Tennie (CSI: Vegas).

“Shrinking,” produced by Warner Bros. Television, depicts a grieving therapist (Jason Segel) who begins to breach the rules by telling his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, dramatic changes to people’s lives, including his own.

Maxwell, Urie, and Tennie will also play with previously announced stars Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, and Christa Miller.

Lukita Maxwell will portray Jimmy’s daughter, Alice. She’s a well-behaved kid, who excels in school, but life hasn’t been easy for her, particularly since her father is emotionally absent.

Michael Urie plays Brian, Jimmy’s optimistic best friend, who also happens to be a lawyer.

Luke Tennie will play Sean, a young war veteran who has lately come under Jimmy’s care. Sean suffers from severe PTSD as a result of his military duty and has a troubling connection with his family as a result of his anger management issues.

Jason Segel also serves as the shows writer and executive producer alongside Emmy Award-winning “Ted Lasso” co-creator Bill Lawrence and star, writer, and co-executive producer Brett Goldstein.
